It’s a classic warm-weather dilemma: You just want to throw on a comfy tee, but the occasion requires something slightly more chic. By spring, this problem should be solved, as evidenced by the turnout of T-shirt dresses on the runway. Lowering the informal article’s hemline (in some cases just a bit) does much to raise its level of sophistication. Clustered swipes of colors gave Charlotte Ronson’s short pink number a playful feel. Zero Maria Cornejo proposed a monochrome possibility in a gray garment with a tapered bottom and elbow-length sleeves. In his collection full of layers, wraps, and ruffles, Marc Jacobs made sure to include a simple tan take on this trend. So even when you’re feeling lazy, you’ll always be dressed to a tee.
