With Paris shows a now distant memory, mannequins give way to girls with more commercial appeal, and new beauties get a chance to grab the spotlight. Case in point: Charo Ronquillo, who has flashed her warm smile in the pages of J.Crew and Ann Taylor catalogs. She hails from the Philippines but is now based in New York, which is all the more convenient as she’s making appearances in Teen Vogue and Marie Claire editorials. You have to admit: Her healthy glow is a nice interruption from the bug-eyed parade of shy 15-year-olds, isn’t it? —Kendall Herbst
