Roberto Cavalli Finally Cleared of Tax-Evasion Charges

Italian authorities first accused Roberto Cavalli of evading taxes in 2002, but the designer has at last been cleared of all charges. Six years ago, they alleged Cavalli put $3.2 million in remodeling charges for his grand Tuscan villa on his company’s books. Last January the Appeal Court in Florence upheld the charges, but the Supreme Court of Cassation just annulled that ruling. No word on whether Cavalli sent them giraffe-print-trimmed robes as a thank-you. [British Vogue]
