The City’s Adam Senn Shops for Fluffy Handcuffs

The boys of The City like to let loose in different ways. Jay Lyon prefers to talk about his band, man, while Adam Senn goes for a little kink. At least that’s what they told us last night at the Hello Kitty for M.A.C. Cosmetics launch event at Cedar Lake. We overheard Jay babbling about said band — Tamarama — and their success thanks to the show. So we wondered if he’s just Whitney’s boyfriend to help his music career along. “Everyone’s going to have their own opinion, but at the end of the day, we got signed before this whole thing came about,” Jay said. “I was going to do everything and anything in my power to make my band successful. But I met Whitney, and that happened naturally; she’s a great girl.” So it’s real. Or, real enough to be persuasive, because we were thoroughly convinced (we didn’t have time to raid his cell phone, but whatever). Adam, however, wouldn’t know sincerity if it smacked him in his faultless jaw line.

What Adam does know: S&M. “You know, I’m a fan of the S&M. My last name is Senn, S-E-N-N, but usually my friends say it S-I-N for a reason,” he told us, divulging his secret talent of winning self-spelling bees. “I got ropes and chains in my apartment, I don’t know about you.” You have leather masks? “It’s called a gimp mask.” We self-consciously touched our face, while pitying Allie for yet another reason. “I live in Chelsea. I’ve been into a couple of those stores for other things,” he continues. “Handcuffs, fluffy handcuffs.” Another voice chimed in: “That’s how I met Adam, he was dressed in a gimp mask and leather tights.” We took a quarter turn to the right to find out the joker — a pretty-boy assistant type double-fisting vodka-tonics. He wore the same silly look as Adam, so it was clear we had another male model on our hands. Are you Adam’s new BFF? “Yeah, but we’re working on an introduction into the show.” Oh, a new cast member! World, meet Johnny Beyer. This former Abercrombie & Fitch model will star on the second season. No word yet if he’s bringing his own pair of fluffy handcuffs.
