Kate Moss’s Drunken Karaoke Was All for Charity

We’re guessing no one’s ever offered you $77,000 to sing “Don’t Stop Believing” at your local Karaoke bar — but then again, you’re probably not Kate Moss. At last night’s “Hoping’s Got Talent” benefit, where stars like Shane MacGowan, Lily Allen, Guy Ritchie, Sienna Miller, Mario Testino,Tracey Emin, and others gathered to watch the musically talented and the not-so-gifted take the stage and belt covers in the name of the Hoping Foundation, Ms. Moss stole the show. Kate is a veteran of one-off musical performances: She’s sung with ex-boo Pete Doherty, added vocals to the impossibly amusing Lemonheads song “Dirty Robot,” and keeps romantic company with Jamie Hince of the Kills. But when an attendee offered $77,000 to hear the model sing live, the night became special. Bolstered by liquid courage, Moss eased into a cover of the classic “Summertime” with Pink Floyd’s Dave Gilmour leading the band, then took to the floor, literally, writhing and twisting in what must have been a transcendent display. World tour, please.
