Heidi Klum’s World Domination Continues With ‘Pervasive Lifestyle Collection’

Heidi Klum had to stop doing her jewelry line after Van Cleef & Arpels filed a lawsuit against her. Of course she wouldn’t rest until she got another licensing deal for a fashion product. She seems to have the same attitude toward fashion lines as she does toward babies: One is never enough. So she’s launching “a pervasive lifestyle collection” for fall 2010, beginning with shoes — 48 styles, to be precise. The inspiration is the same as every celebrity’s with a fashion line — what’s currently in her closet. That, apparently, is “feminine with a bit of a fashion and rock ‘n’ roll edge.” The shoes will eventually spawn workout clothes, dresses, and bathing suits. In February, her maternity line will launch. And then she’ll probably promote it all on Project Runway with challenges for the designers to create pieces for her lines. If we were Jessica Simpson, we’d be worried. Once Heidi’s lines get big, there won’t be enough room for the both of them.
