Moises de la Renta Designed Embellished Tees for Mango

Moises de la Renta, son of Oscar de la Renta and founder of MDLR, signed a deal to design a collection for Mango back in November. The Spanish retailer just released the first images of his Mango collection, and the clothes include a series of embellished tees and tanks, which is a bit different from the 25-year-old’s line, worn by the one and only Michelle Obama back in September. De la Renta stated in a press release that he was inspired by “romantic themes” with summer flowers and “graphic illusions” for the collaboration. And with that in mind, he executed his vision in different ways: The neckline of one tie-dye black tee is decked in gray and black cotton scraps, while another white T-shirt features a print of rope on it, both of which make us wonder if his description of “romantic” is really too broad of a theme here. The collection, which ranges from $36 to $50, hits stores on March 1.
