It’s no surprise the fall runways are full of boots. (’Tis the season for keeping your toes warm.) But designers found new ways to update the basics this season. Prabal Gurung’s lace-up booties featured a capped silver toe, while Alexander Wang sent out calf-high velvet versions in either black or burgundy. Peter Som played with color by covering the shoe in blue and purple prints and adding accents of cobalt metallic, yellow piping, and teal velvet.
