The Italian press has been throwing barbs for weeks, ever since it was announced that the Vogue EIC would only be in Milan for three days, prompting a scheduling scuffle among the major labels. Before the Gucci show on Saturday, protesters took to the Piazza Oberdan dressed as an army of Wintour clones, each in a blonde bob, oversize sunglasses, and T-shirt reading “I Will Only Stay 3 Days.” (We’ve had this nightmare before.)
