Century 21’s Stock Better Than the Barneys Warehouse Sale

Racked recently swung by Century 21 and reports stock by some labels was better than what they found at the Barneys Warehouse Sale. At Century they stumbled upon a rack stuffed with Gareth Pugh on the women’s floor, which also boasted “similarly bulging racks of Rick Owens, Issey Miyake, Comme des Garçons tricot, Hervé Léger, Maison Martin Margiela (and his lower-priced MM6 line), Basso & Brooke, Ter et Bantine, Lanvin, Viktor & Rolf, Dolce & Gabbana, and both Vivienne Westwood Anglomania and Red Label.” Also spotted: Alexander McQueen’s lower-priced McQ line.

Racked found a $120 silk polka-dot skirt by CDG. One commenter says the Hervé cocktail dresses run from $300 to $600 while long gowns are more like $1,200. Another commenter says prices for the stuff Racked mentions generally stayed between $150 and $400. Finding anything worth buying will probably take some digging, but Owens and Pugh are pretty good reasons to bother with that. We’re going after work to dig ourselves. Reporting, you know. All for you!
