Back before the holidays, we scooped up Penguin Books’ gorgeous clothbound versions of classics like Wuthering Heights and Pride and Prejudice. Now the series has introduced five new titles — including Emma, Lady Chatterley’s Lover, and Treasure Island — each encased in colorful embossed canvas covers. But the tome we’re coveting most is the new flamingo-print rendering of Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. After we watched Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter’s gleefully over-the-top interpretation in 3-D, Penguin’s latest release provides an excuse to get reacquainted with the original.
Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, $20 at Anthropologie or online.
