Harper’s Bazaar claims to have not retouched nude pictures of Kim Kardashian, Joy Bryant, and Amanda de Cadenet in its May issue. First it was plus-size models, then naked plus-size models, then unretouched celebrities, and now magazines are latching on to naked unretouched celebrities. So nudity seems to be the connecting factor in these body-image trends. If their purpose wasn’t to shoot the clothes their advertisers sell, we’d just expect magazines to shoot everyone naked from here on. [Harper’s Bazaar]
