Though we’re fans of the bold hues in Stila’s Smudge Pot eyeliner-and-shadow combos, we’ve been less enamored with the easy-to-botch, brush-on application. So we were eager to test out the brand’s newest upgrade: Smudge Stick Waterproof eyeliners. Though the richly pigmented gel has a similar texture to the pots, these pencils glide easily along lids. The colored shades make eyes pop — our current favorite is Lionfish, a concentrated bronze hue with a hint of gold — but you can’t go wrong with wear-anywhere black. Best of all, they won’t leave you with unintentionally smoky lids, even in the heat.
