Photographer Brian Duffy Dies

Sixties fashion and celebrity photographer Brian Duffy’s death has been confirmed, following a long illness. Duffy, Terence Donovan, and David Bailey formed the Black Trinity of photographers who shot the swinging sixties. Among his most famous images was Duffy’s shot of David Bowie for the cover of his Aladdin Sane album, released in 1973. In 1979 Duff burned a bulk of his negatives in his backyard. The surviving images were exhibited recently in London, but Duffy couldn’t see it due to his poor health. [Telegraph UK]
