Ann Taylor came under fire earlier this year for overzealously Photoshopping its website’s models, and now it looks like the company’s trigger-happy art department is at it again. Yesterday, some unretouched thumbnails on Ann Taylor’s site morphed into Gumby-like elastic wonders when customers clicked on them. They have since been taken down, but as you can see, this model looks like she has undergone a total waist-ectomy, and her top is remarkably free of wrinkles, bumps, or anything that would indicate it’s made of fabric.
After May’s Photoshop fiasco, Ann Taylor responded to criticism with the statement “We want to support and celebrate the natural beauty of women, and we apologize if in the process of retouching that was lost.”
