Behold: Stella McCartney’s New Kids’ Collection Is a Parade of Cuteness [Updated]

You thought it was going to be just another gloomy Tuesday morning, but no! Photos of Stella McCartney’s forthcoming children’s line, Stella McCartney Kids, have hit the Internet, and now you get to enjoy your coffee while warm rays of cuteness beam forth from your computer screen. McCartney’s kids’ clothes for the Gap were such a smashing success (picture the monstrous line for +J for Uniqlo two weeks ago, only with strollers and snugglies) that she’s launching a line under her own label, which hits stores November 3. Vogue.com has gotten preview images of the collection, modeled on mussy-haired, gap-toothed little munchkins that are almost more adorable than the clothes themselves.

Which is saying a lot, since the clothes are totally adorable too. There’s actually a few pieces we wouldn’t mind wearing ourselves, like the chunky cable-knit sweaters, the wool pajama sets, and that cheerful orange single-pleat dress. And since the line’s price points, which range from $20 T-shirts to $155 coats, are obviously quite a bit lower than the adult-size Stella McCartney clothing, we now have a whole extra set of reasons to envy toddlers, on top of the fact that their parents pay for all their clothes anyway.

On a different note, we do have one small qualm: Wouldn’t the kids’ collection have been a perfect place to continue the grapefruit motif from McCartney’s spring 2011 show?

Update: An earlier version of this post misstated the price range of the collection. The prices have been corrected.
