Brad Goreski May Have Split With Rachel Zoe Much Earlier Than Announced; Anna Dello Russo’s Hat Blocked the Sartorialist’s View of Kanye West’s Runaway

• The Sartorialist sat behind Anna Dello Russo during a screening of Kanye West’s Runaway, and he posted a picture of her giant hat blocking his view of the screen. [Sartorialist]

• Brad Goreski styled a shoot for the October issue of Harper’s Bazaar by himself, which means he may have resigned from Rachel Zoe’s company long before it was announced in September. [Fashionista]

• Aéropostale is opening a 19,000-square-foot flagship in Times Square tomorrow. The store will have a room called “the Balcony,” where cameras will film shoppers dancing around and then project the videos onto a 120-foot animated billboard. [WWD]

• Kate Spade teamed up with the Strand to publish a boxed set of short stories called She Is Quick and Curious and Playful and Strong, which will include stories by seven different authors who were commissioned to write a piece incorporating that phrase. [T Magazine/NYT]

• Andrew Klein, the “bedbug whisperer,” explained our current bedbug epidemic to WWD. “The reasons for the upsurge have a lot to do with the greening of our society. Over the last 20 years, the EPA [Environmental Protection Agency] has taken away a lot of the caustic products we used to use. The products we’re allowed to use now are less effective in preventing the insects. In the Fifties, people sprayed DDT all around. [It was outlawed in 1972.] With increased travel and increased mobility, the insect was reintroduced into the city. Trucking and transport have been spreading the insects to retail sites.” [WWD]

• Levi’s is the latest brand to team up with Pendleton. The two brands collaborated on a collection of blanket-lined jackets, which will hit stores next month. [WWD]

• Macy’s is planning to team up with some designers on limited-edition capsule collections, starting in February. First up is Kinder Aggugini, who is popular in London but pretty unknown in the states. [NYT]

• Consumer analysts seem to think that luxury brands aren’t effectively using videos to promote their products. [Luxury Daily]
