It’s bridal season, which means designers have full license to roll out the tulle and satin — and in some cases, fur and feathers — and get their princess on. Oscar de la Renta went all out on a swishy mermaid-tail dress covered in bows, a shorter gown with a furry skirt, and a powder-pink mullet-hem dress that was just short enough in front to give a peep of satin shoe. Speaking of hemlines, Marchesa’s usual cascades of ruffle and tulle were punctuated with a few miniskirted silhouettes and pearl-encrusted details. Meanwhile, Angel Sanchez featured lace on everything, Elizabeth Fillmore played with Grecian-style draping, and Badgley Mischka had a field day with silk rose petals.
