Style.com Leaves Condé Nast for Fairchild Group; Nicole Miller to Design Nighties

• Style.com is leaving Condé Nast and joining Fairchild Fashion Group. [WWD]

Lara Stone, whose latest Calvin Klein ad was banned in Australia for suggesting sexual violence, responded to criticism: “I think naughty shoots suit my personality. I don’t mind doing a straightforward fashion shoot, but it’s more fun when there’s something naughty in it.” [Vogue UK]

Nicole Miller inked a deal with the Carole Hochman Design Group to produce a line of sleepwear, robes, foundations, and daywear. Miller says, “It’s definitely going to be sexy but in a modern way. It won’t be frilly at all. It will be clean and hard-edged but will be comfortable. … I’ll also do signature pleating like my tidal wave and diamond pleating, which will give a unique look.” [WWD]

• London shirtmaker Hawes & Curtis’s website introduced a robotic mannequin called Fits.me that contorts to 100,000 different body shapes, so when customers send in their measurements, they can see how a garment will drape on a body similar to theirs. Fits.me has reduced merchandise returns owing to wrong size by 25 percent, and the company plans to introduce a women’s version next month. [WWD]

• A survey by PM Digital found that Gucci and Burberry’s websites generate more traffic than any other luxury fashion brands. [Luxury Daily]

The Guardian seems to think that natural beauty is back, and the paper quoted Grazia’s beauty director, Liz Hambleton, as saying, “I think we’re maxed out on perfection and looking for something a little more real at the moment. A gappy tooth, tons of freckles, huge geek chic glasses all give someone so much more personality than a glossy blow-out and a fake tan.
