Tiffany & Co. Takes Christian Louboutin’s Side in Red Sole Lawsuit

Tiffany & Co., who has trademarked its signature blue box, filed a legal brief today in support of Christian Louboutin’s efforts to protect its red sole trademark. Tiffany reiterates that color can indeed be trademarked, an idea that came into question this past summer when Louboutin took YSL to court over its red-soled shoes and lost (Louboutin has since filed an appeal).
