Just as Dylan Lauren managed to keep her wedding photos out of the press until they turned up in Vogue several months later, Lauren Bush’s bridal gown is revealed in the December issue (she was married over Labor Day weekend). Designed by Ralph Lauren, of course, it’s quite different from her sister-in-law’s — Vogue explains that “some 100 craftspeople spent more than 3,000 hours hand-embroidering the tulle with delicate motifs of small flowers and Renaissance-era scroll designs in ivory silk and metallic thread, Swarovski Elements crystals, and off-white pearl beads.” To balance all that out, she wore blue socks with cowboy boots under her dress.
