Cactus-Print Frocks and Winged Sneakers at Jeremy Scott’s Pop-up
Conceptual designer Jeremy Scott is launching a two-week boutique today, showcasing his spring 2012 collection in all its fringed, candy-striped, cactus-printed glory. Amid the wildly patterned clothes, shoes, and accessories, the focal point of the 1,800-square-foot space is a 30-foot hand-painted mural of his own design, featuring an Adidas-emblazoned Scott-as-Superman bursting through a brick wall. The pop-up is the first to carry his complete Beverly Hillbillies–inspired spring collection, which will be trickling into stores over the next two weeks, in addition to select pieces from the mainline archive. The selection ranges from $110 graphic tees to never-produced past-season samples for up to $1,000. His latest collection for Adidas is arriving tonight, so stop by to scoop up your own pair of winged sneakers or primary-colored creepers.
