The First Lady wears a blue dress by Tracy Reese for the magazine’s Mother’s Day–themed May issue. In the cover story, Michelle talks about her own mom — “Anytime I need to go and plop on her couch and just talk, she’s always there” — and how she and President Obama bring up Sasha and Malia in the White House and in the public eye. “Barack and I feel that our greatest responsibility is to raise two productive, respectful, kind, empathetic young women,” she says.
