Canned air only does so much to combat the dust, dirt, coffee stains, salad-dressing drips, and sneeze residue gunking up the average keyboard. To get it really clean, you would have to stick the console in a sinkful of soapy water and go to town. And now, thanks to Logitech’s washable keyboard ($40 at AC Gears, 69 E. 8th St., at Mercer St.; 212-260-2269), you can. When grime starts to build on the PC-optimized, Mac-compatible type pad, submerge it in water and scour with dish soap. The circuitry is enclosed in waterproof plastic, and drainage vents allow for air-drying without any disassembly. It even comes with a mini dust brush to keep things tidy in between proper baths.
