Just as Manhattan was getting power back up and running in the aftermath of Sandy, graphic designer Walter Shock teamed up with friends Anshey Bhatia and Jesse Resnick to design apparel and totes that support those displaced and affected by Sandy. From that, Storm Support Gear was born — a line of basic tees, shirts, and totes with simple graphic design that have been selling for the past week, raking in $3,000 and counting, all going to Sandy relief efforts. This basic tote with Shock’s design is a staple that will hold up over the years, all as it gives back to those hit hardest by the storm.
