Estée Lauder Mogul Cut Martin Scorsese in Line to Vote

While you were tweeting about your long wait at the polls Tuesday, Estée Lauder chairman emeritus Leonard Lauder got to skip the long voting line at Hunter College, bypassing Martin Scorsese, says “Page Six.” Apparently the 79-year-old had waited in line and bailed three times before a worker recognized him (it probably didn’t hurt that he’s a donor at the college) and took pity. Any poll watchdogs out there know if this kind of undemocratic Election Day special treatment is illegal? Why doesn’t he just pay someone to stand in line for him like the rest of us?
