Knee-high gladiator sandal boots were the spring shoe; in the fall collections, a close cousin has emerged at several shows: the gaiter-meets-thigh-high-boot. Over at BCBG Max Azria, a sleek version was paired with a slinky slip dress, while Sally LaPointe added sequin embroidery for a mock-crocodile effect (ahem, gaiter meets gator?). This morning, Prabal Gurung solidified the trend by partnering up with Casadei on a sharp, militaristic buckled boot that complemented his army-inspired collection.
