Thanks to Tom Ford, U.S. Buyers Will Actually Turn Up at London Fashion Week

Evidently, “record numbers of American buyers” — like those from Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue, Barneys, Neiman Marcus, and Nordstrom — plan to attend London Fashion Week, the Evening Standard reports. Caroline Rush, the British Fashion Council’s CEO, called the amount of RSVPs “unprecedented … This season is set to be one of our strongest yet.” The paper attributes (at least part of) the newfound interest to Tom Ford, who will stage a normal runway show this season, with bloggers, photographers, and non-Beyoncé models. It would be better if he cast 172 different Beyoncés and let us watch the show over buffalo wings later.
