Since marrying into royalty, Kate has kept up her quaint commoner enthusiasms such as loading up points on her Starbucks card, searching for the perfect Gap jeggings, and grocery shopping. It’s reliably charming, but this week, she crossed a line: “A source tells Us Weekly that the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge, 31, has been taking cooking classes from the couple’s new housekeeper, Antonella Fresolone.”
Though we can’t speak from experience, we’ve been told that the point of having a taxpayer-subsidized housekeeper — one whose specialities, Us reports, include homemade pasta and freshly baked bread — is never, ever having to learn to cook. We’re willing to write this off as some kind of temporary “nesting” affliction, but not forever.
