bad campaigns

Big Pharma Is Actually Suing a Store for Xanax T-Shirts

L.A. outpost Kitson is pissing off more people with their line of “designer drug” T-shirts by Brian Lichtenberg. The spoof jerseys have the names of commonly abused drugs Xanax, Adderall, and Vicodin displayed in huge font, and they are being touted in a campaign with tag lines like “Just What the Doctor Ordered” and “Pop One On.”  This totally fits the Kitson sense of humor, but this time, the general public was vocally disgusted by the carelessly snarky campaign, inciting DrugFree.org to post a petition for the removal of the shirt. Now the brand has more than just bad PR: Reps for Xanax, Vicodin, and Adderal have announced they are lawyering up, reports TMZ. Both Adderall and Vicodin are coming after the brand for trivializing prescription-drug use and for promoting the misuse of drugs. So far Kitson has declined comment.
