Check Out Neon-Orange ‘B*tch Lips’ at Rag & Bone

This season, rag & bone decided to highlight lips in their runway makeup for the first time ever. So, to mark the occasion, Revlon global artistic director Gucci Westman decided to go bold or go home. Since rag & bone’s spring/summer 2014 collection featured minty greens and blush tones, Westman wanted to avoid anything too soft. “Red is too pretty, pink is too sweet. The orange is really hip,” Westman said. “It says, ‘I’m so tough, I’m such a bitch.’

For the neon-orange “bitch lip,” as it will now be known, she layered two not-yet-available Revlon oranges, a matte balm in Mischievous (out in January), and a glossier lipstick from her own collection called Carnival. She then topped it off with neon-orange theatrical powder that was so bright it made the lips look like they were glowing. Subtle! “I wouldn’t use this at home,” Westman warned. So, can the average woman wear neon-orange bitch lips on a Friday night? “This look is pretty editorial,” Westman warns. “That’s not a bad thing. Just take this and make it your own.”
