Scary-Sounding ‘IV Doctor’ Claims to Get Rid of Hangovers

It’s Friday at 5 p.m., so we’re three hours away from boozy evening activities and revelery. Worried about tomorrow’s hangover? Well live it up now, because the miracle-working “IV Doctor” is now making house calls. This used to be stuff of Hollywood legend, but now anybody with an Internet connection and about $200-$300 to liquefy can hire a licensed urologist to come administer a creepy-seeming IV drip to rid her of a hangover — without even having to put on pants.

Most popular among middle-aged businessmen with the bank accounts of adults and the drinking habits of frat boys, the standard drip contains about a gallon of water, anti-nausea and anti-heartburn meds, and vitamin B12 for energy.

I’ll think I’ll stick to the $4.99 miracle elixir: bacon, egg, and American on a kaiser roll with a Coca-Cola chaser. To health!
