After Riccardo Tisci unveiled Erykah Badu as the face of his spring ads (and pat himself on the back for his use of diversity on the runway), here are the rest of Givenchy’s spring 2014 campaign images, shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. She looks great in that A Clockwork Orange—esque top hat, but it turns out that was just the tip of the diversity iceberg. Also featured in the ads are Maria Borges, Asia Chow, up-and-comer Eboni Riley, and, in a truly unexpected move, one male model, Dominik Bauer. Tisci is coming close to earning a valedictorian rank when it comes to casting: It is truly impressive how he continues to make the conscious effort to set a high bar for other designers. But only time will tell if he really means it or if this is just a trend for him.
