Unlike most celebrities who shave their head right before a rehab stint, Vivienne Westwood shaved her signature red hair to protest climate change. The Telegraph reports that Westwood appeared at a local protest, newly shorn. Her spokespeople explained that the new hair was a political statement:
And secondly she wanted to cut the red out for a while and have it white — to show she’s proud of her age.
Hurrah! Less hydrofluorocarbons for all. But what does short hair have to do with climate change?
