The British Are Rejecting the Tyranny of Pajamas

Pajama dressing continues to exert its inexplicable full Nelson on the fashion set, but a new report in the Telegraph claims that the British are throwing off the shackles of traditional sleepwear.

A Cotton USA study of 5,000 people found that almost one fourth of British adults do not own any form of nightwear. (Though it didn’t specify whether those people are sleeping naked or simply forgetting to change out of their clothes after falling asleep watching Sherlock.) But pajamas still have a fan in Prime Minister David Cameron, who — following in the tradition of Winston Churchill — often works in them in the mornings. Perhaps there’s hope for the rest of the nation yet.
