Johnny Depp made great strides toward engagement equality on Monday when he confirmed his betrothal to actress Amber Heard by showing off his “chick’s ring.” “The fact that I’m wearing a chick’s ring on my finger is probably a dead giveaway,” Depp told reporters. “Not very subtle.” “Chick’s ring” here seems to refer both to the woman who put a ring on him and the diamond ring’s sparkly style, which fiancés have been denied for far too long. Depp’s comfort with the female role in matrimony, however, does not extend to wedding planning. “I think that I would be better at making women’s shoes than I would be at wedding planning, I can’t plan anything,” he said. “I’m really bad at that stuff.”
