Sofia Coppola’s live-action version of The Little Mermaid has already stirred up some online parodies, but the movie just got an injection of serious fashion cred. MTV reports that Andrej Pejic will become part of Coppola’s world, having just been cast in the film. She will play one of Ariel’s sisters, which doesn’t sound like a particularly major role, but it does have us fantasizing about an all-fashion cast. Lily Cole as Ariel? David Gandy as Prince Eric? It doesn’t seem likely, but for now we can dream.
