Zac Posen just got an all-American new title. The 33-year-old designer has been named Brooks Brothers’ creative director for women’s wear, with his first collection due for spring 2016. (Thom Browne will still helm Black Fleece, the company’s more directional offering.) Posen will continue to design his namesake line and appear on Project Runway. Posen told WWD that he was “honored and excited to be embarking on this incredible opportunity to take the Brooks Brothers women’s brand into the future while respecting its deep, rich American heritage as an institutional company.” Just one question: Will he dress up as Charlie Chaplin for his first day of work?
