Few people can put together an outfit with curb appeal better than London-based fashion consultant and street-style star Yasmin Sewell. So when Barneys was in search of a new collaborator, they had their work cut out for them. “We immediately thought of Yasmin because she has such a strong sense of personal style,” said Tomoko Ogura, the retailer’s senior fashion director, in a press release. “Whether she chooses to wear a more relaxed look, a men’s, street or sporty inspired look, she always does so with a feminine and elegant touch. There is always an underlying sophistication to her look.” Sewell’s 18-piece collection, which she describes as “my ultimate wardrobe,” is available starting today and includes everything from dresses to knits to outerwear. The pieces range in price from $295 to $1,495, and will be available on Barneys’ website and at the chain’s stores in New York, Beverly Hills, Seattle, Chicago, Boston, Las Vegas, and San Francisco. This isn’t Sewell’s first foray into design, however — she’s also the co-founder and creative director of cult T-shirt line Être Cécile.
