Today “Page Six” hinted that Carine Roitfeld’s two-year-old CR Fashion Book might be on the brink of a “soft close,” a neologism that sounds like the opposite of a “soft launch.” But Roitfeld quickly went on the defensive in an interview with Fashion Week Daily. While Roitfeld never explicitly refuted the rumors, she indicated that the enterprise is humming right along, adding that the upcoming September issue will be the publication’s biggest ever. (It comes out September 4.) Roitfeld also promised an “exclusive on one of the world’s biggest celebrities on the cover, as you have never seen her before!” Given that the last time she said that, we got a jam-stained Kim Kardashian, we definitely believe her.
