Sexy steak-devourer Penélope Cruz is at the helm of Agent Provocateur’s diffusion line, L’Agent, which was introduced last year. (She designs it along with her sister Mónica and company creative director Sarah Shotton.) The actress has already directed several attention-grabbing films for the label, and now, L’Agent is venturing into brick-and-mortar territory with standalone stores on both coasts — a Nolita store debuted over the weekend, and the L.A. outpost, on Melrose Avenue, opens its doors tomorrow. Both spaces are decorated in pale pink, with splashes of purple and zebra print. Best of all, the store is promising a “friendly but unobtrusive staff” — pretty key when you’re talking about lingerie.
