Last night in Beverly Hills, Rihanna threw her first-ever Diamond Ball — attended by Kim Kardashian and Brad Pitt, among others — to benefit the Clara Lionel Foundation. While in the past RiRi has been known to turn up at charity galas wearing sequined nipple pasties, last night she took an unexpectedly elegant tack, and wore not one but two different ball gowns. She started the night in a stunning, off-the-shoulder red Zac Posen gown from his fall 2014 collection, paired with a Chopard tourmaline necklace. Later, she took the stage for her performance in a strapless black gown with a very full-bodied skirt — proving that, though she rarely pays mind to the dress code, she actually does know a thing or two about black tie.
