Minus the sole perfect instance of messy man-braiding, last night’s Golden Globes had plenty of pretty. Case in point: Anna Kendrick’s fairy-tale-inspired braided bun. Hairstylist Craig Gangi created a traditional style, inspired by Kendrick’s dreamy Monique Lhuillier gown. To create it, he used over 20 matte bobby pins and roller-set the hair.

Gangi began by applying Bumble and Bumble’s Invisible Oil Primer to damp hair, which helped him to blow the hair straight. After blowing it straight to iron out frizziness, Gangi then curled the hair using a one-and-a-half-inch curling iron and set it in hot rollers for fullness and volume. Gangi braided a small subsection, which he wrapped over the rest of the hair in a large bun, placing over 20 bobby pins in the base of the hair. A spritz of Bumble and Bumble’s Spray de Mode hair spray finished off the look. Somewhere, someone just pinned this style onto their secret Pinterest board.
