Sayonara, singing retail associates and shiny pieces of flair. BuzzFeed reports that C. Wonder, Chris Burch’s “revenge retail” chain, is closing down for good. The company had already shuttered a number of its stores in November, but, at the time, denied reports that it was going belly-up. However, in a “town hall” meeting yesterday, the 100 or so remaining employees were told that the brand was shutting down the 11 doors it still has. C. Wonder has already pulled down its social-media accounts, and its website will close down in a few weeks, according to the report.

Update: We reached out to a company spokesperson, who had the following comment: “Due to the highly competitive nature of the current retail environment, C. Wonder will be closing its remaining stores. The Company continues to evaluate its best alternative to maintain the C. Wonder experience for its customers.”
