For all those who wanted to try the tequila diet but were too scarred by “that one night at Señor Frog’s,” there might be another booze-centric diet just for you. 

After a ten-week study, researchers from Oregon State University found that ellagic acid, a chemical found in muscadine grapes mostly used to make dry red wines,”dramatically slowed the growth of existing fat cells” in chubby mice. It also appeared to slow the formation of new fat cells.

Now when you polish off that evening bottle of Pinot Noir, it’s not just self-indulgence; it’s self-care.
