Tom Ford Took His Show on the Road to L.A.

An array of L.A. archetypes — witchy women, blue jean babies, and more — paraded down Tom Ford’s runway (strewn with white rose petals evocative of the pink ones he used for his finale at Gucci) last night. Ford, who’s always shown his namesake line in his adopted home city of London, made an appropriate pivot to the City of Angels this season for a tribute that melded the glamour of Old Hollywood with the grit of the old Sunset Strip.  ‘70s patchwork denim, fringe, chevron motifs, and leopard prints all predominated, though it’s worth noting that Ford has been working the ‘70s influence long before this iteration of the trend. And for the A-list onlookers, there was even an eleventh-hour Oscar dress option or two on hand. Click through the slideshow to see all the looks from last night’s show.
