A Strange Skirt That Is Actually Easy to Wear

Often, clothes fall into two camps: the workhorse basics and the crazy statement pieces. And then, once in a while, you find a piece that is both distinctive enough that it resembles little else in your closet and versatile enough that you can re-wear it multiple times. For me, that unicorn of an item is a Sacai skirt. Last spring, the line made a striped one with pull tabs and a billowing tail, and, this past fall, it was a bright-cobalt version with a sheer navy pleated panel. This season it’s a color-blocked skirt with military details at the waist and the brand’s signature pleats. All I have to do is tuck different neutral T-shirts or tank tops into the waistband and add slides or white sneakers to look pulled together. It’s a lazy girl’s dream.
