Cool Clips Are the Hair-Elastic Upgrade

If you’ve cultivated your hair growth like a garden with Viviscal and biotin or successfully evaded the siren call of the trendy lob, congratulations! Your achievement deserves to be celebrated with something better than a black hair elastic (or even a Prickly Pear hair mask). Instead, try the grown-up version of the childhood barrette: a refined hair clip. Inspired by the pulled-back hairstyle seen on the Céline spring 2015 runway and the Sylvain Le Hen encircled ponytails seen at Jason Wu fall 2014, it’s a simple way to make your hair look extra-luxurious and rich (even if you’ve double-processed it). Use a clip in a simple twist pulled off the face or to fasten a bun; both are easy ways to look polished and lushly elegant at the same time. Click through the slideshow for three ways to use hair clips to keep cool this summer and easily make your hair look extra fancy, with the most minimal of effort.
