As if last week’s GOP primary debate wasn’t proof enough, the lead-up to the 2016 presidential election is going to be one for the e-books. Social media has turned every potential candidate into the worst version of themselves (read: thirst demons), and while everyone from Hillary Clinton to Jeb Bush could benefit from embracing the #NeverTweet movement, we never stood a chance of escaping this election cycle without seeing teen language regurgitated through an algorithm and thrown back at the elusive “youth voters.” Speaking of — how on fleek are your student loans rn?

Student loans are horrifying and eternal, unlike emoji, which are fun and flirtatious. For the sake of this exercise, we select the “100” emoji three times in a row to represent our unceasing monthly payments. Does that answer your question, Hillary? Tea emoji, frog emoji.

Hillary Clinton’s social-media manager is of course asking about student loans because only Sunday, Clinton proposed a spending plan that would aid undergraduates in paying tuition at public colleges without having debt later. The average 2015 college grad will have to pay back over $35,000 in student loans, making them the most indebted class in history.

#TBT to when you were student-loan-free.
