The Gemini full moon during Thanksgiving week brings more than full plates and planes with it. There’s potential for heaps of heady chatter that’s great for family and friendly get-togethers, but that comes with a risk of squandering intellectual energies by clanking around our cutlery and ourselves too much. In other words, the holidays have begun!

You can avoid wasting the choicest parts of this full moon’s blessings by committing to introspective meditation or study at the top of the week. Look closely at what projects and relationships you can cultivate over the next 30 days that stimulate your mind and sense of adventure. Work on tying up loose ends and unfinished conversations, particularly any that you started in late September or October during the last Mercury retrograde.

The planetary weather report: Use these guidelines to unlock the stars, not to be locked down by them.

Along with the full moon, there’s a complement of planets shifting and making moves during the week. Succulent Venus kicks off the week with sparks flying from a tug-of-war opposition with spirited Uranus. These two planets bring a powerful craving for change. The power of this combo’s great when things have gotten stale, whether in our diets or our relationships. It’s not so great, however, if someone in a relationship doesn’t see changing things up as part of the program.

Clever Mercury casts vibes at ponderous Saturn and visionary Neptune, leading us to detail plans that have practical, yet imaginative merits. Near the weekend, the stately sun stamps his royal seal of approval on those plans after making similar connections with Saturn and Neptune. However, that seal can be like tryptophan in turkey meat and lead you into a stupor of false security and confidence. Take actions with those plans, even with only one task, as soon as you can.

Read on for your sign’s Sky Code.

Sagittarius (November 22 to December 21)

The first full week of your birthday season should be anything but boring. The question is, are you willing to be social or would you rather be alone on your adventure? You can have both! Intense, quiet work, like writing or cleaning around the house, at the top of the week, will allow you to relax and feel easy around others near the weekend. You’ll reap the benefits of your reveries and solitude and not be worried about duties you should have taken care of.

Capricorn (December 22 to January 20)

The full moon comes with urges to share plans and ideas that aren’t ready. Though you’re often good about keeping boundaries, you may be tempted to push them. Look at your choices this way. You could choose to “sell” people on your ideas, without detailing much, by conveying excitement for your percolating intentions. However, it’s also okay if you keep nosey, pushy people at bay with nothing. Your next moves belong to you.

Aquarius (January 21 to February 18)

You find snuggling up with a good book as much fun as chatting with a cherished friend or family member, Aquarius. You might want to be social, but you also feel enchanted by the thoughts swirling in your head. Remember, though, that a book doesn’t need you or to hear that you care for them. You don’t ever mean to come off as uncaring to those you love. Balance your private pleasures, especially if they’re brainy, by talking them out with someone who might be more interested than you think.

Pisces (February 19 to March 20)

This Gemini full moon illuminates what’s holding you down in life in order to climb up to the next perch of your career aspirations. Quick-witted Mercury’s heavenly banter with sure-footed Saturn and lofty-minded Neptune mimics your own need to face your fears and concerns so that you can move up. So look hard at the stack of notes that you refuse to organize into something bigger or better. Stop fretting over the “wrong” way to move forward. Draw more on inspiration and your intuition for the “right” way ahead. You’re the final judge of “right” and “wrong” anyway.

Aries (March 21 to April 19)

The hardest part about learning things on your own is that you don’t know what you don’t know. To do that, you have to sit still long enough with someone or something to know. Craving distraction, however, is your biggest obstacle to cutting ignorance to the quick. Only when you focus your attention will you learn what you need to accomplish what you want, especially over the next two weeks. Find your way to a balanced solution by conferring with your familiars at the beginning of the week, and then slide into quiet zones to draw from the wells of knowledge ready to teach you.

Taurus (April 20 to May 21)

An important relationship requires your attention. You may already intuitively sense that the foundation of it might be cracking and eroding, though everything seems fine on the surface. Rebuild the base by tending to simple formalities that we’re inclined to lose over the familiar course of daily life, like remembering to say “thank you” and “please,” or doing something extra sweet. However, you can’t firm up a foundation without freshening things up too. Commit to fostering new, dynamic memories while also nursing the long-established ones.

Gemini  (May 21 to June 20)

The Gemini full moon might crash your mainframe with an overload of impulses from the things and people around you. The faceoff between socialite Venus and eccentric Uranus, however, indicate that you should reboot with a mix of familiar loved ones in unfamiliar settings or with pioneering activities, like an epic pre–Turkey Day poker game or cutting off the TV to share your favorite funny story from the year. After Thanksgiving, use the energy of grounding Saturn and fanciful Neptune to sort through recent ideas and visions that you can refine to wow them at work.

Cancer  (June 21 to July 21)

Try, as best you can, to be comfortable with not knowing entirely what you’re doing. Entirely is the key word. You actually know more than you might realize. “Beginner’s luck” is very real and happens when we start something because our willingness to risk being wrong is bigger than our ego’s investment in being right. In other words, free yourself from judging yourself (or others) too much. As the week wraps up, take some quiet time from the hubbub of thinking on your feet to review what you did right and wrong. You’ll see that experience has been a master teacher.

Leo (July 22 to August 21)

The feeling that you’re responsible for nearly everything and everyone this week will likely drain you. Good news — you aren’t. No superhero gave you her powers and appointed you to fly all around to pick up the slack. You only can do so much before you begin to experience diminishing returns with the people you’re attempting to help. Although you have a lot on your plate now, don’t forget that some of that is for your pleasure and delight. Figure out ahead of time how much you can help a dear one in distress before you plunge in too deep.

Virgo (August 22 to September 21)

Cultivating important relationships, both personal and professional, will require you to keep a close eye on your budget and your own prejudices. A few sudden expenses could catch you off guard this week, but don’t stress — you’ll recoup the losses with other gains. The biggest investment you’re making in others is time, so make the most of it and be sure to ask questions rather than assuming that you’re connecting all the dots. Listen with as much sensitivity and attentiveness as you can muster, especially to an elder or senior member of your family. There might be more wisdom in your aunt or uncle’s quips and odd sayings at the dinner table.

Libra (September 22 to October 21)

You might have to get firm with a tough situation or person. Boundaries could blur and be elusive. Neptune might be blowing in a lot of fog on the road forward, even with simple things like figuring out with folks where to eat on Thanksgiving eve. You and others are likely running on different assumptions on how you will or should proceed. Start with reviewing basic expectations, because obvious ain’t always that obvious. Once you’ve clarified the basics, if your values, work styles, or even vibes are too different, you’d do better to cut your losses now than think things are suddenly going to change.

Scorpio (October 22 to November 21)

Unexpected changes to your routines or even cherished rituals might be irritating at first, but if you relax, just a little, you’ll see some of the changes are improvements. The most important challenge that this full moon delivers is to rework your money mojo. You perhaps oversold some expectations and you will have to scramble to make up the difference. The scrambling, again, will show you better and more creative ways to keep tabs on your money and make it work more for you, whether that’s your portfolio or one of your side-hustles, rather than the other way around.
